Children's Feeding Network

Our Mission Statement in 24 Words:

"Rushing lifesaving food and emergency supplies, wherever most needed, to meet the
needs of starving, displaced, abandoned, or orphaned children in America and overseas."

Mission

We exist to help people, primarily children and young teens who are in distressed or poverty stricken situations.   We strive to brighten the future for a little one, giving him/her an opportunity to grow, learn, excel and live life to it's fullest as a productive human being in this world.   We are dedicated to meeting the physical and mental needs of children globally.   Our hands currently reach from the inner cities of America's most hardened areas to the most remote hill tribe villages in the Philippines, Africa, and Central America.   We focus on food, clothing, medical, shelter, schooling and general lifestyle and hygienic training among the children, as well as providing much needed loving care, acceptance and attention that a little one needs while in traumatic transition into an orphanage or feeding center.

Current and Future Goals

  1. CFN is helping to support the Destiny Centers in the Philippines which offer computerized learning and training centers for children and teen students in that nation.   The first Destiny Center opened in Mindanaou in January 2003, and is in need of computers, digital recording equipment, furniture, etc.   Building supplies are still needed to complete the final training center building.   Total needed is $5,400.

  2. CFN has a feeding and training center in Cabanatuan City, Philippines.   This center needs air conditioners, furniture and chairs, as well as ongoing food supplies for the children.   Fully air conditioned and furnished facility upgrade total is $8,400.

  3. CFN is in need of upgrading our Springfield Food Distribution location with one outdoor forklift, two large refrigerated trucks - trailers and a new drive in freezer unit.

  4. CFN is in need of larger warehouse space in or around St. Louis, MO to provide storage and distribution capabilities as well as office space.   CFN also needs a delivery truck/trailer, a forklift, and a drive in refrigerator/freezer unit.

  5. CFN is preparing for future "COMMUNITY ACTION CENTERS" in major U.S. and Asian cities which will promote community action, children's programs, job and rehabilitation training classes, food distribution, community manpower help programs and more.   As funding and staffing are assembled, CFN will move forward in constructing these COMMUNITY ACTION CENTERS.

  6. CFN is preparing for Asian community development programs, including small business loan development programs, community progress programs, asian community outreach to their own poor, training programs, etc.   CFN goals are to create a self sustaining, perpetual program that will not require the outside assistance of other nations to develop the Asian communities that we're working with.
